Postby David222 » Oct 4, 2012 6:48 am

Although meat has been considered as the best natural source of protein but for vegetarians there should be some alternatives to it...so here are some high protein vegetables that are good enough to provide good protein..
Mushroom (its a type of eatable fungus but more like treated as a vegetable)
Peas, Spinach, Broccoli, Chickpeas, Lettuce, Artichokes, Cabbage, Potatoes, Whole Grains,

I agree with you. Moringa serves as an essential source of many important nutrients including vitamins, minerals and especially protein. Moringa also has many other health benefits. Moringa is beneficial for cholesterol level regulation in the blood, resulting in its posibility to cope with heart disease. Thanks to high content of antioxidants, moringa may be beneficial for the protest against free radical damage. https://wikihomenutrition.com/moringa-health-benefits/

I don't think that artichokes are high protein vegetables. They are rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals https://wikihomenutrition.com/artichokes-health-benefits/

Protein is a crucial food group for everyone. It is very important for the body. Some of the protein rich vegetables are Sprouted Beans, Peas & Lentils, Succotash, Kale, Broccoli Raab. Lack of protein is one the factor for Hair loss. So protein should be consumed in appropriate amounts. One of the magazines published the interview of a woman who lost her hair because of lack of protein. She mentioned that she had no choice other than wearing cheap hair wigs. Many hormones such as insulin and progesterone in our body are proteins. I make a point to take 10 to 11 ounces of a protein food each day.
