Some one had given me a book on the above eating plan. While I think it's important to eat lots of salads, and fresh fruit, I don't see how eating all raw fare is sustainable. I'd be so hungry not ever having cooked starches, such as whole grains, or root vegetables in my diet. I depend on brown rice, whole wheat pasta and potatoes to keep me full. While I DO believe eating vegan is healthiest, and, indeed, sustainable, too, I can't imagine feeling any satiety on a total or 85% raw diet. Sure, one can eat raw nuts, seeds, and avocado, but even that would get old!! Give me root veg with vegan margarine and a block of tempeh or tofu any day!

I agree with you Snog! And thanks for sharing. I love salads and yes it's also important to eat lots of salads, and fresh fruit, they are really good for health and it's a healthy diet too.
