Re: The reason why there is no such thing as a vegan

Dragonfly, as much as he's pissing us all off, it would be extremely hypocritical of me to say that we are all equal and should have equal rights and treat everything with respect, and not treat Adam with respect. It would be hypocritical of me to demand that he respects me, if I do not respect him....

Re: The reason why there is no such thing as a vegan

I 100% agree with you, that the poster who said those things to you was being more disrespectful to you, than you were to him. But lets be honest, you registered to this forum for Vegan people so that you could argue with them about their opinions and beliefs. When you do that, you can't expect peop...

Re: Free Range

The wholesale slaughter of chickens is happening because society is blissfully ignorant to the truth. And, call me crazy, but I don't believe that any one beings life is more important than anothers, therefore I can compare the meat industry to the Holocaust. Lucky us, we have the right to our opini...

Re: Interesting quote - what do you think about this?

I was an environmentalist back before the movement got taken over by idiots who put animal welfare above human welfare. Jay Scott Raymond Source: http://www.slackages.com/me/index.html Furthuremore, he must have not got the memo that those that put human welfare above animal welfare and continue to...

Re: Interesting quote - what do you think about this?

Animal Rights in my opinion is simple. Animals and Humans both inhabit Earth and we should have the equal amount of right to be here as the other. Animals have the right to live their lives without us interfering with them. I wouldn't interfere with a lion hunting a gazelle for this reason: I'm not ...

Re: Free Range

And if free range is even a step in the right direction in terms of animal welfare, why bash it so much? Why take the negative approach and spot "This is wrong!" when you could say "This is closer to right". I agree with you, in the sense that we shouldn't always take a negative...

Re: The reason why there is no such thing as a vegan

Adam, I do not know any Vegan who will claim to have completely eliminated animal products from their lives. The definition you are quoting is vague and misleading. Vegans simply try their best to reduce the amount of suffering onto another being. I am agreeing with you, there IS no such thing as a ...

Re: Stuck in a debate

Usually, when in a debate with someone, first I'll try to determine if the person I'm talking to is even open to my arguments. If they aren't they aren't listening to what you are saying and considering it's validity, in which case you are just going to get frustrated, and they will get satisfied. I...
