Mountain Skullcap
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mountain Skullcap (Scutellaria montana Chapm.), also known as the Large-flowered Skullcap, is an endangered herb in the United States. The herb is found in the Eastern United States, particularly in the Appalachian Mountains, from New York to the Southern states of Tennessee and Alabama.
Skullcap is considered to be a sedative and nerve tonic. The herb also used to be used as a folk remedy for rabies.
